Super Talent has done the unthinkable - it is now offering a 128GB SSD drive for a mere $299, which connects via a SATA II interface while supporting read and write speeds of 100MB/s and 40MB/s, respectively. At a $2.33/GB price point, that is as cheap as it gets - for SSDs, at least. Well, I forsee future netbooks going the SSD way while offering capacity that’s comparable to 160GB
hard drives or more, and there will definitely be more society working on modifying their own netbooks by replacing their hard drives with Super Talent’s offer.
